EKL uses the following test equipment:
- Switching capacity system with synchronous control
- Equipment for mechanical and electrical durability with PLC-Control and monitoring
- High current testing system; 3-phase with extra-low-voltage and synchronous control
- Test facilities for steady current, tripping behaviour, isolation,
- Test facilities for electrical terminals and connectors
- Climatic tests
- Equipment for shock and vibration tests
- Test facilities for force, displacement and angle measuring
- Computer-aided measurement data logging and processing system with isolation amplifier
- Measuring transformer for current, voltage, temperature, force, displacement, angle and acceleration
- Laser-measurment-system for non-contact displacement measurement
- Non-contact temperature measuring, infrared temperature measuring, termography
- Data logger for continuous recording of measured values
- High-speed-camera
The power supply to the lab is feed via in-house special transformers from the 20 kV municipal power grid. All measuring systems are rotative controled and calibrated.
